Paul has been a qualified Nurse since February 1998 and has had a variety of primary and secondary care experiences.

Having moved into primary care, Paul has experience of working in both NHS Walk-in Centres and general practice settings.

In November 2008 Paul was one of eight community nurses awarded the prestigious title of Queen's Nurse.

This award is made by the Queen's Nursing Institute in recognition of high standards of patients care, and for continually improving standards
Since January 2011, Paul has been employed as Modern Matron for the Integrated Healthcare Team (Primary Care & IDTS) at HMP Winchester, providing healthcare services to the 700 in-mate population of B,C and D Catergory In-mates. The healthcare services at HMP Winchester are provided by Solent Healthcare.

Paul provides management and professional leadership to the 30+ strong team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, as well as working clinically both on the wings and as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Prescriber working along side the General Practitioner in the team.
Since November 2009 Paul has been self employed, and he is able to provide a wide range of services on a locum or project capacity.

Paul has been a Nurse Practitioner and Consultant Nurse since 2001, and during this time has worked in General Practice, NHS Walk-in Centres, Prison Healthcare, and a 300 bedded residential / nursing home.

Also whilst working as Consultant Nurse, Paul has been teaching as a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences at Kingston University, and as a Visiting Fellow in the Faculty of Health and Social Care at London South Bank University
